Help Us Save Immaculate Conception School

Since its start, Immaculate Conception School has fostered over 60 years of excellence in outstanding academics. The devoted teachers and staff are committed to the growth and development of each and every student while promoting a value-oriented learning environment.

On April 1, 2025, parents and faculty had for the FIRST TIME EVER been informed that the Pastor and Diocese of Metuchen were strongly considering closing the doors of our beloved school permanently due to the school’s financial strain on the Parish and low enrollment. Less than 72hrs after this meeting with the school figureheads, the ICS Pastor sent an impersonal mass email to parents about the school’s imminent closure.

Due to the timing of this announcement, as well as lack of transparency and efforts of the school figureheads as learned by the school families, together we appealed to the Diocese of Metuchen to reevaluate the decision to close ICS.

They know our objective…to rebuild our beautiful school.

The good news is, they did not close the door on us and our Immaculate Conception School. We have a chance now, a very small window of time to create a new business model for ICS. It would have to be accompanied by a significant fundraising effort to close the financial gap in the short term as our school rebuilds, as discussed with the Diocese.

It is going to take a heroic effort for us to raise these funds to support the school’s deficit in the amount of $500,000.

We have launched multiple outlets for support…as the key to this foundation is our commitment to keep our Immaculate Conception School, in Spotswood NJ open and sustainable for the benefit of our children and families, as well as the community.
